The process of custom print scarf
Choosing the right fabric
When creating a custom scarf design, the first thing to consider is the fabric for printing. There are many fabric options to choose from for your scarf.
You can use 100% natural fabrics like Silk satin, Silk CDC, Silk Geogrtte, Silk Chiffon, Silk Twill, Silk Habotai, or other range of fabric such as Cashmere, Merino Wool, Wool, Cotton, Modal, Polyester.
Scarves made from natural fibers like Silk, Cashmere, and Cotton are very popular. A custom-made silk scarf is always a good choice.
Nowadays, Modal scarves are becoming more popular because they're easy to print and affordable. They look nice and have a subtle shine.

About silk fabric
Deciding the scarf's shape and size
After choosing the material, you need to decide if you want a square scarf or a rectangular scarf. Both styles are great, but it depends on what you're looking for. Do you want to give your customers a basic scarf or something more fun and trendy?
Think about the design and patterns too. A scarf with neutral colors and no patterns can be worn often without looking the same every time.
But a scarf with bright colors and fancy patterns will stand out, no matter if it's square or rectangular.
Remember, when designing scarves, make sure the design looks good when worn. You don't want any important parts upside down or facing the wrong way. If you're not sure, our designers can help.

If you have your own designs:
The process all starts with the artwork supplied by the customer, which can either be digital artwork or if hand drawn, can be converted to digital format. This opens up endless options for the designer, offering the freedom to work with a broad colour palette, as designs can be printed with as many colours as required. Designs should typically be created to ensure that they can be repeated with a seamless finish, and without any borders or break lines.
For designs, we prefer files in .jpeg, .psd, .tiff, .Ai, formats with at least 300 dpi.
Is the design simple or complex?
Complexity means how many colors you use in your design. Look at your design and see if it uses solid colors or prints.
For example, if your design has eight colors, you'll need eight different silk screens. But silk screen printing is not very efficient these days. It takes a lot of time, and the more colors you use, the more it costs.
So, most printed scarves these days use digital printing technology. It can use as many colors as you want and prints very quickly, up to 120 square meters per hour, with great quality.
Single-Side Digital Printing | Double-Side Digital Printing | Hand screen printing | |
Introduction | Printing is done on one side of the silk. The pigment penetrates from the front side to get to the reverse side. | The designs always print on both sides of the fabric, and can have the same pattern on both sides, which can completely solve the problem of inconsistent colors on the front and back of traditional printing methods. | Screen printing is the printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto scarves, except in areas made impermeableto the ink by a blocking stencil. |
Advantages | 1. various patterns can be printed 2. The minimum order quantity is low and the delivery is fast. | 1.It can also be printed on both sides and have different colors on both sides 2.The minimum order quantity is low and the delivery is fast. | 1.Accurate,vivid and durable colors 2. Better penetration on reverse side 3. Relatively cheapr prices |
Disadvantage | 1. It can only be printed on single side 2.the thicker the fabric, the lighter the color of the reverse side. | For thick fabrics only | 1. Screen cost is high: 35-40usd/each 2. Large minimum: 200pcs/dsign |
the hand rolled edge the most refined pocket squares are going to feature edges that are hand rolled into a tight and tubular edge and then also stitched by hand.
machine rolled will be more visible and more uniform than a hand sewn edge,a machine stitched edge is probably going to feature thread that is slightly looser and thus more prone to snagging, coming loose, and ruining the pocket square.
